1. How did the concept behind the Supernatural Challenge came about?

As an active member of society I’m very interested at looking at the sensitive aspects I believe we dont consider enough. So many conversations in regards to popular opinion are just in the open, the dehumanisation of african decedents happens to be one of them. I’m a male so this issue affects me in another way of course but so many of my nieces and friends regularly tell me about their struggles with the embracement of their natural hair because of western’s society standard of beauty not involving natural african hair. The documentary snippet used in the record also really built an incentive to vocal this issue via musical friendly form.

2. You’ve said that creating "Pretentious" was a big highlight. Can you bring us back to the moment?

The record & video “Pretentious” is the representation of the death of my ego musically, acknowledging my ability to do what I do however realising that the journey of flesh is a pointless experience.

Filming it in Athens is a demonstration of embodying the concept of philosophical realisation. The aim of this project was to make fans appreciate the freedom found behind the concept of getting over your ego.

3. “Young N Wasted” is one of our favorite videos. What was the process of getting the video together?

“Young N Wasted” was executed by Connor Butler who’s the main cameraman for Liam Payne (One direction) but completely planned by myself. This also happens to be one of my favourite videos to star in / organise, from the boat, club and landscape scenery the experience was priceless. It was my first time setting a big budget on a project and delivering a commercially relevant package, definitely taught me some dos and donts none the less an experience I wouldn’t do any different.

4. What is your favourite Supernatarual Challenge video so far? and how can fans submit their videos?

My favourite is the video of one of my friend’s Mum showing us her natural beauty. #GodBlessOurQueens

Fans can submit their videos via Instagram, facebook, tik tok and just tag me the post so that I can post them back onto my socials as well.

5. Do we have a date for the release of the single?

The release date has not been announced as of yet as we’d like like to keep building the anticipation for this big summer release.

6. At what point while you were creating music did you decide you wanted to sing in French and English?

I’ve always been able to make music in French as it is the first language I ever mastered, the mastery of english enabled me to consider what I could achieve if somehow both languages were on the same record. Thankfully people/fans responded well to my efforts of bringing inovation to our culture when I first executed at age 21.

7. You have the live experience coming on Saturday May 16th. What can the fans expect?

On the 16th fans can hope for interviews some of the people I follow & respect but most importantly exclusive listens to some of my latest material including “Supernatural”. The aim of this experience is for it to be laid back and easy to be involved in.

8. How can fans follow you on social?

Fans can follow me: @ManLikeNells on every single social media platform.
