Rapper Kaido wins the DNA challenge hosted by Blackson

1. How did the concept behind your freestyle came about?

I gave importance to understanding and respecting the mood of Blackson’s verse. Musicality, especially in the refrain, is an essential part of the whole, and first of all I tried not to contrast the flow that had been created. I am not a G, I did not grow up on the street, and out of respect for those who have lived this life I have not allowed myself to write things that I do not know, and this make me a Real. “Talk about things you live” it’s a rule of my lyrics. I am a boy of the 90 ‘, and the respect for the older ones taught you, with a few slaps every now and then. Perhaps today there is a lack of respect for others and for people, because the digital world protects, the good and the bad, and behind the keyboard anyone can impersonate a G, until you cant be serious and respectful outside the digital world. Everyone believes to be special.

2. What is Kaido to the world?

Kaido is basically just a composed Japanese word. It represents my path and my personal growth, especially the inner one. -Kai- can be translated with wind, spirit, while DO is the suffix, which follows the name of a martial art, and indicates “the Way” of a warrior’s life …like Bushi-DO or Karate-DO (way of the open hand)

Kai-DO is the way, the path of the soul (of a warrior) is a name that reappears in Japanese culture and is flanked by tormented souls or demons (Oni)

The change of the name created a detachment from the past in me, I went from talking With anger to talking about why, About my anger.

From fighting my weaknesses to wanting to understand and strengthen myself with them.

3. “All you can Diss feat Nebra “ is one of our favorite songs. What’s your relationship with Nebra?

All you can diss (AYCD), as can be seen from the title, is a simple Diss- track, created by Nebra, towards all those “characters” of the music market who make themselves Products and not artists. Nebra is part of our collective, the WUHURI KLAN (Wuhuri = pack of wolves in an ancient Samoan dialect) he is a really good rapper plus he is an excellent graphic designer, he takes care of the covers and logos of our group,

4. What do you hope your legacy will be?

I honestly don’t think about what I will leave tomorrow, I am committed to doing something important today. Those who think too much about tomorrow, do not pay attention to the present, and lose time and possibility. I have always written for myself, being a very introverted and cold person in relationships, with writing I managed to tell myself through the sheet. I want to listen to my lyrics one day, and simply be proud of what I wrote before. up to now, I have kept this intent, I hope that whoever begins to be a rapper / songwriter, shares these ideals. 5. How did you find out about the DNA challenge?

I knew Blackson from Real Talk, I always respected him for the very high level of his rap, both impactful, technical and very credible. He advised me to join a colleague, rapper, Joey Borea, I heard his verse, the beat, and I immediately requested to send the beat and participate. Joey impressed me and the rest of the song made me fly. I remember downloading the beat and writing in less than an hour.I turned the verse to Joey, who listened to it first, and replied “Kaido will you win”

6. Are you excited to be on the remix of the song?

very very much. already during the live I was super charged, I couldn’t wait to perform. it’s a piece that makes the adrenaline go up, I can’t wait to hear the remix, I’m sure it will be a bomb, and I thank Blackson again for the opportunity

7. What can the fans expect from Kaido this year?

The Klan is ready. In 2020 we will go out with a mixtape, which is ready, plus we would have many collaborations with very strong artists, not only in the rap World. We have individual projects and we are already laying the foundations for 2021.
In this period we have written and produced a lot. We don’t want to be a meteor, we will make you feel how much fire we have for a long time.
