Singer and music producer Aarik Ibanez aims to make a positive difference through his music. His calm and soothing voice keeps us drawn in during each intimate performance. Aarik’s YouTube channel, which has over 16k followers, is full of peaceful covers perfect for listening to on a rainy day. Aarik also shows us his musical skills with set of original songs as well as instrumental covers. Aarik’s new single “IDK Why I Miss You” takes his soulful vocals and places it in a more upbeat setting. The driving rhythms and melodic instrumental lines complement Aarik’s vocals to produce an all-round serene experience. Although Aarik’s single has only been out since July 2020, it’s had an extremely positive response from fans who admire his level-headed yet emotional vibes. Much like his YouTube videos, Aarik’s single provides a personal exploration of his feelings expressed by music. Each line strikes sentiment and passion for both the music he creates and the meaning behind each lyric.

Perhaps the most impressive part of “IDK Why I Miss You” is Aarik’s use of Marathi. This is an Indo-Aryan language spoken across India. It’s no surprise that Aarik decided to sing in this language, as he is half Colombian and half Indian. Aarik nicely shows his heritage here and conveys the beauty of the language.

Aarik has been recording his own music since he was 12 year old and has so much more material coming. He’s currently in the process of planning a livestream concert on the 12th September 2020 where he will be showcasing his best covers and original songs.
